Can tickets be refunded once purchased?
This FAQ outlines the refund policy for Decibel ticket purchases. Here’s a breakdown of the key points:
- Non-refundable under normal circumstances: Once a ticket is purchased, it is typically non-refundable, except in certain cases.
- Event Hosts’ own terms: If an Event Host has their own refund policy, it is separate from Decibel’s, and any issues related to that must be dealt with directly with the Event Host.
- Event cancellation by Event Host: If the event is canceled by the Event Host, Decibel will process refunds, but the refunded amount will be the original purchase price minus fees and taxes (typically around 10%).
- Refund method: Refunds are issued to the same card used for the original purchase.
- Transferred tickets: If a ticket has been transferred to another person, that new user must provide their banking details for a refund, as the original purchaser no longer has rights to a refund once ownership is transferred.
