BIBLIOTECH: The Storyteller Returns: 12 Weeks / 4 Genres / Tech on Repeat CHAPTER 3: PROGRESSIVE HOUSE & TECHNO
Presented by Espolòn
Every library has a dark wing. This is the chapter the Archive has been hiding. This one's a 'Dark Horse'. Chapter Three ventures deep into BIBLIOTECH's most shadowed corridors — where Progressive House and Techno don't just coexist, they collide. Darkhorz leads the expedition with precision and power, while Archivists JONO J and ONNO hold the passage open between melody and late-night euphoria.
Come prepared. Leave changed.
📚 MAIN NARRATOR
Darkhorz | 22:30 – 01:30 | Library Stage
Brett Nussey hurled himself into the music world in 1989 in through the backdoor while creating soundtracks for painfully bland commercials. What began as experimental fiddling with large sound equipment morphed into a string of gloriously unhinged musical happenings, fuelled by questionable life choices and a healthy thirst for self-liberation through sound. Then the music stopped… He resurfaced in 2017, dusting off his vices and leaning into downtempo and tech house until the side dark nudged him toward rare and suspicious deeper notes, plotting grooves that creep up on your senses. His music compilations smuggle you into labyrinths of liquid, layered sound, stitching fragments of feeling and sensations into one delightfully flawed, deeply ecstatic whole-body experiences.
He plays whenever he gets a calling…
📖 ARCHIVISTS
Opening (21:00 | Annabelle Stage): Jono J
Jono J is a seasoned selector with 30 years behind the decks, known for deep musical knowledge, sharp curation, and an instinctive ability to read a room and lift a dancefloor. From progressive builds to driving techno, he crafts journeys that start with mood and end in momentum. As the opening DJ for the night, Jono J sets the tone with warm, melodic grooves, layered transitions, and perfectly paced energy that pulls people in—and keeps them moving.
Closing (01:30 | Annabelle Stage): Onno
Thirty years a chorister and opera singer, Onno swapped the crescendo for the kick drum — same obsession with building pressure and letting it go, considerably darker wardrobe. What he's after is a spark: emotional, never clichéd, exciting and interesting, melody threaded through the bassline, he'll cross any boundary to find the right vibe. Onno plays the confident dancefloor navigator rather than the entertainer — reading the room's energy and steering it where it needs to go.
