What Are Decibels?
Decibels are loyalty points that attendees earn when they purchase tickets from hosts. Each Decibel is worth R1 off when redeeming with the same host in future purchases.
Example:
If you earn 100 Decibels from "Event Host ABC", you can use them to get R100 off your next purchase with Event Host ABC.

How to earn loyalty points
Purchase tickets from any host
When you buy tickets from a host who has loyalty tiers and earning enabled, you earn Decibels based on those tiers. Hosts without tiers do not award Decibels.
Tier-based rewards
Each host can set up loyalty tiers and then enable earning. The more tickets you buy in a single purchase, the more Decibels you can earn per ticket.
Automatic tracking
Your Decibel balance is automatically tracked and separated by host. View your balance in your Bookings page under the Loyalty tab.
Example Earning Scenario:
Host sets Tier 1: 1-5 tickets = 1 Decibel per ticket
Host sets Tier 2: 6+ tickets = 1.5 Decibels per ticket
You buy 8 tickets → Earn 12 Decibels (8 × 1.5)

How to use your points
Redeem with the same host
Decibels earned from a host can only be redeemed when purchasing tickets from that same host.
Host-set value
Decibels reduce your total by an amount set by the host. You can redeem as many as you have available with that host.
Easy checkout
During checkout, you'll see an option to redeem Decibels. Simply enter how many you want to use, up to your available balance.
Example Redemption:
You have 50 Decibels with "Event Host ABC"
You're buying tickets worth R200 from Event Host ABC
You redeem 50 Decibels → Final price: R150

What Are Loyalty Tiers?
Loyalty tiers allow you to reward attendees based on how many tickets they purchase in a single booking. You can set different Decibel rates for different ticket quantity ranges.

How It Works
Create Your Tiers
In your Host settings, go to the "Loyalty Tiers" section. Add tiers by specifying the minimum and maximum ticket quantity range, and how many Decibels per ticket attendees earn in that range.
Automatic Application
When attendees purchase tickets, the system finds the matching tier based on the quantity purchased and awards Decibels as quantity × rate for that tier — only if earning is enabled. If you have no tiers, or earning is off, purchases earn 0 Decibels. If you have tiers but a purchase does not fall in any range, it also earns 0.
Track & Manage
You can view and edit your loyalty tiers at any time. Changes apply to future bookings only; existing bookings keep their earned Decibels.

- • Include a band that covers 1 ticket if single-ticket buys should earn points
- • Offer better rates for larger purchases to encourage group sales
- • Review and adjust your tiers based on your event patterns
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Decibels earned from one host with another host?
No. Decibels are host-specific. You can only redeem Decibels earned from a host when making purchases from that same host. This encourages long-term loyalty with individual hosts.
Do Decibels expire?
Currently, Decibels do not expire. However, policies may vary by host, so check with your host if you have questions about their specific loyalty program.
Can hosts change their loyalty tiers after I've earned Decibels?
Yes, hosts can modify their tiers at any time. However, any Decibels you've already earned remain in your account and can still be redeemed. Tier changes only affect future purchases.
Is there a minimum purchase required to redeem Decibels?
You can redeem Decibels for any purchase amount. However, you cannot redeem more Decibels than the total purchase amount. For example, if your purchase is R50, you can redeem up to 50 Decibels.
How do I see which host my Decibels are from?
When you view your Decibel balance in the Bookings page under the Loyalty tab, you'll see your Decibels grouped by host. Each entry shows the host name and your available balance with that host.
